Each 100% Habotai silk flag is hand painted individually by Deb and Kelly. The banners are unique works of art made just for you and in the complexity of the art of silk painting there will be slight differences of color and design uniformity and are not considered defective. We are constantly improving our designs, designs may change without notice.

We custom mix our colors, if it is important to match banners in color for pageants and dance contact us so we can make larger dye batches to match.

Silk is a natural protein fiber made from the cocoons of the silk worm. The natural inconsistencies in the textile is in no way considered defects. The luster of silk is just fabulous and the photographs do not reflect the beauty of these banners.

HEMS

Edges are not finished! As the flesh of Jesus Christ was torn for us, our edges are torn. By His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The banners flutter in the wind more beautifully we have found with these torn edges.

Wearable art scarves have hand rolled hems. Soon prayer shawls will be available with hand rolled hems.

POLES

Large banners have an elastic band made to be fitted over ½ inch diameter dowel or fiberglass pole. Everything else fits neatly on a 3/8 inch diameter dowel or pole.

CARE

Freshen up your silk creation by ironing on the silk setting on your iron. Silks can be hand washed separately in baby shampoo or mild soap and ironed dry. Some dye run off is normal. Do not use detergent with optical brighteners it will fade your banner! Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets it will cause the silk to have spots. The dryer is not recommended for our silks.
